　　Hello everyone, I am Chuck. Today, I want to tell you something about water resources.

　　Water is one of the indispensable conditions to human survival. If there no water,there would be no life existence. Water is like a great gentle mother who gives us life, so we should protect water resources to show how much we love it!

　　Although about three-quarters of the global area is covered with water, only one percent can be used. Lack of freshwater resources is a common problem in the world. One of the reasons is that the global freshwater resources have a uneven distribution. And the other reason is wasting water.

　　China is one of the most water-short countries in the world. It has less than 1/4 of the world average water. By this token,we all can see how important the freshwater resources are for us. According to statistics, there are about two-thirds of the urban cities on a national scale that don’t have enough water to use. In the area of Loess plateau, the water consumption per capita only has about 23 liters. What an appalling number it is！

　　But in our daily life, we can see the scene of wasting water everywhere. We usually see the tap running water but nobody turns it off. And the water pollution in our life is also a common behavior. People always use excess laundry soap to wash clothes, and it always makes pollution.

　　Today the water resources are more and more important. In order to make the last drop of earth's water is not our tears, let’s take actions,use our practical action to save water!

　　Saving water means saving our life!

　　The Simple Things in Life

　　Good morning,ladies and gentlemen:

　　This is a glass of water.Tasteless ,worthless,right?Yes,nobody of us will take care of it ,nobody of us will lament for pouring it .But if i say,this glass of water in front of you is the last one in the world.Would you like to alter of it with one thousand dollars,One million dollars,or all your wealth?Now,a simple thing becomes a difficult decision.

　　In our life,we wash our teeth while keeping the water running from the tap everyday morning.In summer,we take bath at least three times a day.In winter,as hot water in bottles becoming cold,we pour it on the ground without hesitation.We take all these for granted but that all changed for a simple thing happened to me.

　　Last summer holiday,my friend Shirley invited me to visit her grandmother who lives in a remote mountain area.In front of her house,there laid a small garden in which various flowers and grass were growing up.The air was filled with the aromatics.Her grandmother was ready to take out some water from the well.She told us that the villagers had to get water from the well because of lack of water and they had to reuse water.After washing clothes,they took water to wash the floors.After drinking the tea,they took the left to irrigate flowers.What surprised me most was that the beautiful flowers in the garden were all cultivated by those left tea.

　　Coming back home,i thought myself deeply.I researched some information on the internet and found there are so many mountain area lacking water in China.When we pour the water casually,they have to save it by reusing it. It’s just a cup of water to us,but it means much more to them.Showing sympathy with them is not enoug

　　h,we could do something to help them. Even stoping water from running when we wash our teeth can make a difference.

　　My dear friends,it's time to take the awareness of saving water.It is a grand task to perform and long way to go for.The future belong to us.When the simple things like wasting a cup of water become a difficult decision in our life,would you think they are still simple?The answer is obsolutely certain to all of us!Thank you.

　　今天 我為大家演講的題目是：

　　珍惜人類的生命之源——水

　　水 是一切生命的源泉，它養(yǎng)育著人類和飛禽走獸，哺育著花草樹木；水 是大地的血脈，它滋潤(rùn)著崇山峻嶺，灌溉著沃土良田；水 是人類文明的搖籃，奔騰不息的長(zhǎng)江、黃河孕育了源遠(yuǎn)流長(zhǎng)的中華文明。地球之所以形成生命，一個(gè)重要原因就是因?yàn)榈厍蛏嫌胸S富的水資源。水是生命之源，水是生命的搖籃。 水 是生命之源，人體重量的60%是水，血液中的90%是水，我們每人每天需要兩公斤的水才能維持生命�？梢哉f，如果沒有水，人類將無法生存。 同學(xué)們，烈日炎炎的夏天，當(dāng)你擰開水龍頭舒舒服服地沖澡時(shí)，你們知道嗎？你洗澡所用的水是缺水地區(qū)幾十人的日用水量；當(dāng)粗心的你沒有擰緊水龍頭，任憑它“一江春水向東流”的時(shí)候，它一個(gè)晚上流失的水，相當(dāng)于缺水地區(qū)一個(gè)村莊居民的日用水量……這些事例決不是危言聳聽，而是聯(lián)合國有關(guān)機(jī)構(gòu)多年調(diào)查得來的結(jié)論。

　　節(jié)水，已成為當(dāng)務(wù)之急。今年1月份，省委書記夏寶龍爺爺向全省人民提出了“五水共治”的號(hào)召。其中有一條，就是“抓節(jié)水”。

　　也許你會(huì)問，我們才是小學(xué)生呀，節(jié)約水資源，我們可以做些什

　　么呢？告訴你吧，我們可以做的，有許許多多！

　　一方面，我們要多多宣傳，讓更多的人認(rèn)識(shí)到節(jié)水的重要性，加入到節(jié)水的隊(duì)伍中來。首先，我們可以收集節(jié)水的資料，刊印成宣傳單或倡議書，在學(xué)校、社區(qū)里散發(fā)；其次，我們可以動(dòng)手制作節(jié)水的宣傳海報(bào)或是宣傳標(biāo)語，貼在學(xué)校、社區(qū)的宣傳窗里，引起人們的關(guān)注；再次，我們可以排演一些和節(jié)水有關(guān)的節(jié)目，相聲、小品、情景劇，在學(xué)校、社區(qū)里表演，讓節(jié)水的意識(shí)深入人心。

　　當(dāng)然，節(jié)約水資源不能光靠宣傳，我們還需要有實(shí)際的行動(dòng)。下面我給大家推薦幾個(gè)節(jié)水小竅門，你將發(fā)現(xiàn)，節(jié)水只是我們的舉手之勞。首先，一水多用。如洗臉?biāo)�用后可以洗腳，養(yǎng)魚的水可以用來澆花，淘米水可以用來洗碗筷；其次，收集廢水。家中預(yù)備一個(gè)收集廢水的大桶，收集洗衣、洗菜后的家庭廢水沖廁所，拖地；還有，樹立良好的生活習(xí)慣。刷牙、取洗手液、抹肥皂時(shí)要及時(shí)關(guān)掉水龍頭；正在用水時(shí)，如需開門、接電話應(yīng)及時(shí)關(guān)水等等。

　　同學(xué)們，“黃金有價(jià)水無價(jià)”。為了我們自身的健康，為了子孫后代的幸福安寧，為了人類今后的生存和發(fā)展，讓我們攜手行動(dòng)起來吧! 從現(xiàn)在做起、從自身做起，從點(diǎn)滴做起，保護(hù)我們賴以生存的水資源，做一個(gè)惜水如金的“環(huán)保小公民”，我們未來的家園才能更加美好。
